CIG/GOV - Boletim Estatístico CIG 2021

Em 2020 a população residente em Portugal continua a ser maioritariamente composta por mulheres. Este fenómeno, transversal à grande maioria das sociedades, pode ser explicado pelo facto de elas viverem mais do que homens e, por outro lado, pela maior mortalidade masculina, em todos os grupos etários. No entanto, salienta-se que apesar de viverem em média, mais anos do que os homens, elas vivem, em média, menos anos de vida saudável do que eles. Esta é uma das conclusões da edição 2021 do Boletim Estatístico da Comissão para a Cidadania e a Igualdade de Género, que está já disponível no website da CIG. Este é um documento que reflete as realidades das vidas de mulheres e homens em Portugal, dando continuidade a um instrumento que a CIG tem vindo a disponibilizar desde 1980, por ocasião da 2ª Conferência Mundial sobre as Mulheres, das Nações Unidas. And the good news is that it's really easy to do. Here are five ways you can make your holiday season a little more sustainable this year: Consider gifting your time or a pre-bought experience instead of an object. That reduces the demand for physical resources. When shopping, bring your own reusable bag. That helps reduce your consumption of single-use plastic – a gift to our rivers and oceans! Wrapping paper is one of the biggest holiday wastes, so why not try wrapping your presents in brown or recycled paper instead. Did you know we throw away a third of all the food we produce? Try cutting food waste by planning ahead and being realistic about how much food you need. Opt for gifts with less packaging. Shopping local can help. Every decision we make is a vote for the world we want to create. So we hope our tips on how to make your festivities friendlier to our planet, our one shared home, are useful.
