WWF International - "Will you call on governments to tackle plastic pollution?" 2021

Plastic is everywhere. From beaches in Indonesia to the remote Arctic, it is silently choking our planet. Most plastic becomes trash after a single use. Plastic has contaminated the soil, rivers and oceans. It's even entered the water we drink, the air we breathe and the food we eat. No single country can solve this global crisis alone.

Thanks to the voices of over 2 million people like you, more than 100 countries are supporting the call for a global treaty to stop marine plastic pollution. Now, we need more governments to take action for our oceans, rivers and soil.

We urgently need a global legally binding agreement that involves every country in ending this crisis by 2030. You can help us take action by calling on the world governments to join the global Ministerial conference on Marine Litter and Plastic Pollution on September 1-2. There, they can voice their support for a global treaty to stop the plastic pollution crisis. Will you call on them to step up for our planet?
