Um amanhã que preocupa…

Mais de «metade da humanidade não come, e a outra metade não dorme com medo de que não tem o que comer!» (Josué de Castro). A FAO define uma alimentação sustentável de forma sucinta; aquela em que os alimentos são nutritivos e acessíveis a todos, e os recursos naturais são geridos de forma a manter as funções dos ecossistemas para garantir a satisfação das necessidades humanas atuais e futuras. A sustentabilidade é tão somente, a proteção dos recursos naturais para que não nos falte comida e ar puro para respirar e lindos jardins onde possamos correr alegremente sem medos. Com o “desperdício alimentar”… se cada um de nós evitasse comprar mais do que precisa ou necessita; escolhesse alimentos com prazo de durabilidade maior; se cada um de nós conservasse corretamente os alimentos e aproveitasse as sobras, e se reduzisse as porções tal como a “Roda dos Alimentos” nos ensina e educa; se cada um de nós reduzisse o uso das embalagens de plástico; não tendo vergonha de comprar a fruta e os legumes a granel, se cada um de nós reciclar e reutilizar as embalagens, “O Planeta” não ficaria doente… porque se isto acontecer não haverá alimentação para todos os meninos e meninas do Mundo! Não haverá alimentos para todos os seres humanos.

O E-Redes é um estudo-piloto promovido pelo Município de Esposende, em parceria com a Empresa Municipal Esposende Ambiente, a Universidade do Minho e a Associação de Defesa do Ambiente- Rio Neiva que tem um custo global de 250 mil euros, sendo comparticipado em 200 mil euros, decorrendo ao longo de 18 meses nos 16 quilómetros da costa de Esposende que integram o Parque Natural do Litoral Norte.
