The comeback of the Iberian lynx is one of the great conservation stories – but it's not over yet.

With your support, we've helped bring the Iberian lynx back from the brink of extinction in southwestern Europe, with its population increasing from less than 100 in 2002 to more than 1,100 today. The comeback of the Iberian lynx is one of the great conservation stories – but it's not over yet.

Iberian lynx are still classified as endangered – and to ensure its long-term survival, we need around 750 breeding females. That would equate to a total population of around 3,500. In other words, we need to triple the current numbers.

If we're able to keep up our conservation efforts, we believe this can be achieved in the next two decades, securing the future of one of Europe's top predators. And we can make it happen – together:
